Students who complete the Apparel And Textile Marketing Management major will be prepared for careers in the marketing, management, and sales of apparel and textile products.
The Audiology Audiologist major is designed for students who want to pursue a career in audiology. The program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become an audiologist. The major includes coursework in anatomy and physiology, communication sciences and disorders, and audiology. The program also includes clinical practicum experiences.
The Birthing And Parenting Knowledge And Skills major is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to work with birthing and parenting clients. The major comprises two parts: Part A – Core Studies and Part B – Electives.
The Business Family And Consumer Sciences Human Sciences major is designed to provide students with a broad liberal arts education while also developing students’ ability to think critically and communicate effectively within the context of families and human sciences. The major requires the completion of 120 credit hours, including 42 credit hours of coursework within the major. The major emphasizes the study of human development and family dynamics within the context of businesses, families, and other organizations. Students take courses in human development, family studies, child development, adolescent development, family counseling, family resource management, and family policy. The major provides students with a strong foundation in the liberal arts, including coursework in the arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and natural sciences. The major also prepares students for careers in a variety of fields, including human resources, education, public policy, social work, and counseling.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist major is designed to prepare nurses for leadership roles in a variety of clinical settings. The major emphasizes the development of clinical knowledge and skills, as well as the ability to lead and manage teams of nurses. The Clinical Nurse Specialist major provides students with the opportunity to explore a variety of clinical settings, including medical-surgical, pediatric, and mental health. Students in the major will also have the opportunity to study a variety of topics, including evidence-based practice, quality and safety, and informatics.
The Computer Technology Computer Systems Technology major is for students who want to work in the computer industry as systems analysts, designers, or programmers. The major provides a strong foundation in computer hardware and software, and developing applications for both. The major also provides an understanding of computer networks, security, and databases.
The Cytopathology Residency Program major is designed to provide residents with the knowledge and skills necessary to function as a cytopathologist. The program is four years in length and includes both didactic and clinical rotations. The first two years of the program are dedicated to didactic coursework, which includes courses in pathology, histology, immunology, and cytology. The last two years of the program are spent completing clinical rotations in various settings, such as hospitals, private laboratories, and research institutes.
